Key Milestones and Achievements
1. 2010 – Establishment:
The school was founded with a small number of students and limited facilities.
Learning began under challenging conditions, with modest structures in place.
2. 2013 – First KCSE Candidates & Academic Recognition:
The school presented its first cohort of KCSE candidates, who performed well, setting a strong academic foundation.
Achieved remarkable KCSE results, earning recognition as an institution of academic excellence in Laikipia County.
3. 2015 – Growth in Student Enrollment:
The student population increased significantly, leading to a demand for more classrooms, dormitories, and laboratories.
4. 2022 – Expansion of Facilities:
Additional classrooms, dormitories, and laboratories were constructed to accommodate the growing student population.
More subject combinations were introduced, broadening academic opportunities for students.
5. 2023 – Leadership Transition:
The founding Principal, Mr. Samuel Mweri, retired on age grounds, paving the way for the second school Senior Principal, Mr. Steven Mathenge, to take over the mantle.
Strengthened the student council, fostering student leadership and discipline.
Intensified mentorship programs, encouraging students to focus on academic excellence and personal development.
6. 2025 – Preparation for CBC Integration & Strategic Growth:
Launched the School Strategic Plan (2025-2029) to enhance academic and infrastructural development.
Initiated the school website to enhance communication and engagement.
Intensified efforts to improve KCSE performance, aiming for higher transition rates to universities and other higher learning institutions.
Finalized plans to introduce Grade 10 in 2026, preparing for CBC implementation with specialized pathways in STEM, Social Sciences, and selected Sport Science subjects.
Leadership and Governance
The Board of Management (BOM), under the leadership of the founding Chairman, Dr. Ng’ang’a Kamithi, has played a pivotal role in steering the school through these milestones. Since 2010, Dr. Kamithi has provided dedicated and selfless service, ensuring the school's steady growth and success. As he completes his term and tenure, he is set to retire in June 2025, ushering in a new Chairman to continue the school's journey of excellence.
